Crime Is Real, Don’t Be a Victim!

Personal Safety Should Be Your Number One Priority

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

Don’t let the bad guys win, don’t let them harm or kill you, don’t become a crime statistic.  Take charge of your own safety.  it is not just a good idea but every woman and man should know how to protect themselves and know how to use urban survival safety techniques.  The sad facts are in the US someone is sexually assaulted every two minutes, and a violent crime happens every twenty seconds.  Some things you can not stop, but you can respond the correct way to keep yourself safe and alive.  Every time you turn on the news you hear about someone getting raped or robbed or both and you wonder if something like that could even ever happen to you or someone you love.

When my daughter came to me one day and told me she was going to a self defense course and asked me if I wanted to join her.  Of course I did and I really felt the class was great.  It gave us great defense techniques and told us the basics on how to get away from someone who sneaks up on you.  We also learned that if at all possible don’t leave the location you are in and go somewhere else with the robber, because that is usually where they kill you and get rid of the body.  Try to draw attention to your self and many times he will get embarrassed and leave because he won’t  want anyone to see what he wants to do or get arrested.

The instructor also showed us some urban survival safety tips too.  But when I wanted to find some more great safety techniques I went online to do a little research on the internet and did a search for urban survival safety.  I was able to find some other great defense techniques for both myself and my daughter.  That I also told my sister and her girls about them too.  When I found your website, it had lots of great products and information about survival safety.  I bought two of the Extreme college survival Kit, for my two nieces that were going to be starting college in the fall.  This is such a great kit and has so many helpful things for everyone woman who walks alone form class to class at night or really anywhere she walks alone during the day or night.  One of the main things is to be prepared for the unexpected, and never take any unnecessary chances.  if you feel uncomfortable in any situation, they take your self out of it.  Even if you make a mistake and a good man will understand, because he has sisters or mothers in his life and he would want them to be safe too.

Your Female College Student Safety Kit Will Protect You

Sunday, June 19th, 2011

You may have heard of them:  The Extreme college survival Kit.  If your college student or perhaps you’re a parent of a college student who is concerned about their safety, you should invest in a female college student safety kit for your daughter.  Often the reality is that a student needs to be safe at all times to encounter any situations because the college life can be very unpredictable especially in this day and age.

For instance, if your daughter needs an emergency sound device in the event of a burglary or somebody is trying to attack her, one of the items that are included in many of these kits is a pocket whistle.  These pocket whistles can get up to high decibel ranges so that they can be heard at a great distance so that somebody can come to their rescue and protect them.  You might already begin to realize why it’s important to have a female college student safety kit.

Another product that is included in many of these female college student safety kits are an alarm doorstop which uses the same concept as the whistle does.  These doorstops also have a high range decibel output from quite a distance if someone is to try to break in the dorm room.   This doorstop alarm will go off and will send an message alert to those who can hear it so that your daughter will be safely in her dorm.  There are also infrared alarms that are completely wireless and can be moved from any position in the dorm room. Theses particular alarms sense any motion that is detected and will hence, trigger the alarm for any undesired movement that should not be the dorm room.

Another product that’s included in a female college student safety kit are books that resemble the real thing but are actually safes.  You can store any precious materials in these safes that mimic the exact look of a study book.  You can deceive any body who doesn’t suspect that book to be a safe.  Also included in this kit is a nap alarm.  Just put it on your ear before driving to prevent falling asleep at the wheel.   When your falling asleep at the wheel, it’s not uncommon that your head nods forward.  And that triggers  the alarm alerting you and other passengers that your head  is nodding.

There are many useful safety products included in the female college student safety kit.

Self Defense Products Designed for Women

Sunday, June 19th, 2011

Lets face it.  This can be a pretty unsafe world for women out there.  Sometimes its just hard to be a woman because you can be subjected to so many types of violent crimes.  Well, the good news is that you don’t have to put up with that kind of thing anymore.  If you look up self defense weapons women you will find that there is a plethora of weapons that women can use for self defense these days.  You don’t have to rely on sheer brute force to get an attacker to leave you alone.  Now you can choose from an array of self defense products that will help to keep you safe and will keep any potential attackers at bay.

The best part about these self defense weapons is you don not have to have years of training to use it.  Almost any woman who wants to be sage can take advantage of these products.  Some of the self defense weapons women can use to protect themselves are really nice because you can conceal them in your purse or even the palm of your hand.   Take pepper spray for instance.  If you feel like you are being followed or if someone is giving you a hard time then you can keep a small container of pepper spray on a key chain and that can disable a grown man right on the spot.  You have to be sure that this type of self defense weapon is legal for you to use in your area and it can be a great alternative for women who are opposed to carrying something more serious like a gun.  I recommend that most of my female friends carry this type of self defense weapon around with them because it requires little to no training to use it safely.

One of the other really popular self defense weapons women can use to keep themselves safe are stun guns.  These are a little more serious than a pepper spray because they could cause harm to yourself if you do not have the right training.  But, if you are really worried about being able to hit an attacker with a spray in the eyes then a stun gun is what you need to feel safe.

You can target an attacker anywhere on their body with a stun gun and it is a great self defense weapon for a woman because it will take them down.  You won’t have to aim for any particular area and if you follow the directions then they will be completely disabled and this will allow you to get away from the scene unharmed.  Make sure you choose your self defense weapon wisely and always get the right training on how to use it.

Protecting Your Family in St Louis

Saturday, June 18th, 2011

The following are realities of living in the most dangerous city in America…

When it comes to personal security products  St. Louis, the truth is that most of us don’t really know where to begin when it comes to protecting ourselves and our family.  The best place to begin is with personal security products. Personal security products St. Louis include things like personal alarms, rape whistles, sirens, mace, pepper spray, tasers, and other forms of personal self defense devices.  these are the type of items that you would carry with you on a daily basis to make sure that you are protected.

Regardless of your regular routine, one of the most important things you do in order to make sure that your protected is to be aware.  Being aware and seeing a potential attacker coming are just two of the best ways you can protect yourself from a potential attack.  Being confident, keeping your head up high, holding your keys with one placed between your index and middle finger are all different tips that can really help make sure that you are well protected. Being protected is just one of the many ways to take care of your personal safety.

Other personal security products St. Louis include the type of products that you have around your home.  Some of the best products are the ones that are the simplest to operate and the most effective.  When it comes to the safety of your home, before considering a security alarm, the first thing you should consider is the locks on all of the doors and windows in your home.  Looking for locks to be secure and fastened is a great way to make sure that your home is well protected.  The second thing you should do is make sure that doggie doors and other pet entrances are far enough away from major entrances so that they don’t entice a home invader.  Making sure that they are only just large enough for your pet to fit through will also help prevent an intruder from coming in your home that way.

Getting to the most obvious option, the home alarm system is a great tool.  Not only is it a great way to protect your home, but signs indicating that it is in your home are a great deterrent against potential burglars.  Making sure that your home is protected is as much about making sure your security alarm is armed when you need it and not letting the practice of setting it fall to the weigh-side because you start letting your guard down.  Letting your guard down is the time when even the safest of homes is vulnerable to an attack.

Will My Child Be Safe at College?

Saturday, June 18th, 2011

If your son or daughter is going away to college this fall, then you probably are already planning on what you need to send with them.  You have the college dorm checklist bring important things that are going to fit into the college sized dorm room.  Here are some of the basics to keep in mind when it comes time to move your teen off to college.  The first things you need to consider for your college kid is the size of their dorm room and what things their school does allow and doesn’t allow in their rooms.

Some schools will allow hot plates, microwaves, and toaster ovens, while others won’t allow these items in the rooms. The first place to begin is by starting with things that your son or daughter already has.  Often times, they will have favorite bedding, carpets, decorations, and other little things that they really enjoy at home.  Starting out with familiar sheets will give your college kid a sense of home comfort that new sheets will not.  Save the new sheets for when your college kid gets adjusted.  Once you have established what you have for your college kid’s room, it is time to start looking at things that you need to purchase.

A microwave, mini-fridge, and a laptop are all great things to make sure your college kids has.  Inside of their room you should add bedding, carpets, drapes, and posters that they really enjoy.  One often forgot item that is really important as well is to make sure that your college kid has a selection of towels and other bathroom items at their disposal.  A laundry bag or hamper is a wonderful thing to add to the college dorm checklist bring items.  It will make your teen’s life easier when they have a place for dirty laundry.  On your kid’s college desk, there should be a bright light or full spectrum light that they can work by, there should be an assortment of unique writing utensils, papers, and a printer for last minute printing needs on their way to school.

When it comes to personal items, your teen should have a toiletry bag that can carry all their items.  They should also have their own stock of toilet paper and tissues as well.  For their personal items, they should have shower shoes, shampoo, soap or body wash, brushes for hair, body, and teeth, tooth paste and their other bathroom essentials that all fit easily into a toiletry bag they can carry with them back and forth between the bathroom and their room.  The key with planning for your kid’s college dorm room is keeping everything portable and organized.  It is better that they come equipped with simple items that are easy to carry and easy to replace until they have adjusted to dorm life.  The college dorm checklist bring list should be simple and complete.

Thoughts and concerns about crime in the downtown St. Louis urban community…

Its amazing how much violence you see on the news these days.  Its getting to be worse than actually violent movies sometimes.  I know they’re just doing it to make people scared, but its working.  I get nervous being outside my own house at night now.  We’ve never had any kind of violent crime in my neighborhood, but I still can’t shake the feeling that we’re not safe anymore.  I guess I need to do something about that because we can’t be living our lives in fear.  I need to find a place where I can buy personal protection products St. Louis .

I’m not about to go out and get a gun or anything, but there are some far less lethal methods that are still capable of stopping someone from harming you.  I’m not sure what exactly I want to get yet, but I figure I can go take a look and maybe get a professionals opinion on the matter.  I suppose this is something I could talk to a cop about.  I wonder how you go about getting advice from a cop.  That’s not really something you call 911 for.  I wouldn’t want to bother them at the police station either.  They’re pretty busy as it is.  I just need one of them to tell me what would be good to get and where I could buy personal protection products St. Louis.

Maybe I could just catch one on a break somewhere.  I guess I could hang around donut shops for a while.  I just need a good, reliable source of information about how I can buy something that will help me to protect myself should I end up in a dangerous situation.

I think it’s something that everyone should take the initiative to lean about at some point.  I need something that I wouldn’t be afraid to use, and even my kids would be able to handle it.  I don’t want them playing with it or anything, but if it came down to it I want them to be able to defend themselves too.  Maybe I should sign everyone up for self defense classes.  We could do that in addition to finding someplace to buy personal protection products St. Louis. That would be good for when we don’t have our personal protection gear with us for some reason. I imagine that would happen a lot when we are away from home.  It would be nice to be able to defend myself with my bare hands too in case I drop whatever it is I’m to get or something.  I thing that sounds like a good plan.  I am going to do a little more research about all of this online.

Personal Protection For Women

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

College is a scary time for the students and the parents alike.  For students, it’s their first time all alone in the world, without mommy and daddy to rely on and to help them should the need arise.  For parents, their baby is flying away from the nest, and without parental supervision for the first time in their life.  For girls a Self-Defense Kit For Women is a must have.

Therefore, parents try to prepare their child for every possible situation and stock their dorm room full of things to help them should the situation arise and they don’t have the comforts of home to help them.  Mini fridges are stocked full of milk, sodas, energy drinks for the occasional all night study session, and of course, with wholesome foods like fruits, homemade cookies and brownies, baked with love, and other staples to get kids through the first semester away from home.  Care packages filled with home bake sweets will add to the freshman fifteen, a curse that plagues all students away from home.

Once the fridge is well stocked with food, parents turn to outfitting the desk for optimal studying, seeing as they won’t be around to help encourage doing homework and good studying, and discourage procrastinating.  Bright new desk lamps shine onto fancy new laptops with built in web cams to enable Skype conversations with mom and dad at home. Brand new mechanical pencils fill a mug with sentimental memories from home and fancy guides to help survive the first semester at college line the bookshelves.  Crisp new textbooks are stacked on the desk, all ready for the new classes, and notebooks full of clean notebook paper sit on the other corner.  The desk is perfectly prepared for the first year at college, and making the most of studies.  The wall are adorned with pictures and a multitude of posters to try and make the sterile dorm room more house-like, and similar to their room back home.  A framed picture of the family is always slipped onto the dresser or bookshelf, to remind the student of their family back home.  The bedding is always an important part of the room: a new, mature comforter to replace the one left behind at home.  A rug lies on the floor, to make the cold tile warmer in the early morning.

Once the room is as comfortable as possible, parents make sure their child has a sick kit and a Self-Defense Kit For Women to keep them safe for every situation that arises.  Band-aids and antiseptic abound, plus cough drops and Advil or Tylenol.  Parents lose the chance to take care of their sick child when they are at school, so they make sure they have everything to combat everything from cuts to common cold to the flu or a fever.  There are lots of tissues and a card with emergency numbers listed for every possible health center:  the college infirmary, the hospital, minor emergency clinic, dentist, and eye doctor.  The card will invariably get lost in the mess and clutter of a typical college dorm, but its presence is reassuring to the parents in thinking their child will be able to get the proper help if needed.

In addition to the basic first aid kit, parents include a simple mechanic kit, with a hammer, screwdriver, and pocket knife, because one can never know when those will be useful.  Parents of female students will include a whistle with the hope that their daughter will wear it faithfully around her neck to signal for danger, as well as carrying along pepper spray (part of any Self -Defense Kit For Women) in her purse, and never walking alone after dark.  A Self-Defense Kit For Women is something that can be bought very inexpensively.

Students who have a car at college will find their car stocked with bottled water, a blanket, a spare tire, an extra insurance card, a flashlight, and anything a parent could think of that would be helpful in case the car should break down.  As for clothes, students will take a mix of new and old clothes: some students will need new clothes for a change in climate, heavy coats for the California kids going east, and tank tops and sandals for the Boston kids moving to the south.  Kids will want to keep clothes from home for sentimental reasons, shirts from sports teams and the plethora of SENIOR shirts to remember the last year in high school.

Parents can not protect their children when they are away at school, so they try and make sure they have everything they’ll need to take care of themselves as they venture out into the real world all by themselves for the first time, by giving them the perfect Self-Defense Kit For Woman.

The following story is from a customer about the value she and her father place on The Extreme college survival Kit in these dangerous times in America.

My dad has long been overprotective of me due to the fact I am the only girl among three children, and the firstborn at that.  I was given all the pampering that a child could get.  Considering that now I’m going to college and living elsewhere, he tries to over-compensate for his physical absence.

He got me the Extreme College Survival Kit from SafeFamilyLife, which he let me know, may serve as personal protection for women at this stage of my life.  A colleague had recommended it to him because of a recent date rape incident that occurred in my school.

The victim had been a popular girl on campus and most guys asked her out.  I got to school one morning to see a great deal of students discussing her.  As soon as I asked one classmate what exactly was taking place, I found that the lady was found dead right after going on a date together with one of our school mates.

Apparently, the guy whom she dated went missing so he took over as the primary suspect for the crime.  A teacher had been discussing date rape in class, as well as other common crimes committed on college students, for instance dorm break-ins.  She mentioned the importance of personal protection for women and the way we have to be prepared for these situations.

When I came home, the Extreme College Survival Kit from SafeFamilyLife happened to be waiting for me.  Specially structured by experts to ensure protection for women while attending college, this kit includes a Lipstick pepper spray, nap alarm, 1/2 oz Pepper Spray with Visor Clip , 2 0z. Pepper Spray with Wall Mount and 1/2 oz. Pepper Spray with Keychain.

The kit also supplies a diversion safe that appears just like a book, a door stop alarm, an electronic pocket whistle along with a Mobile phone Lite flashlight.  An added bonus is a system instructional manual and DVD designed to teach the consumer the best way to employ each product.  Six special safety reports are given on the way to maximize these devices for personal protection for women.

The reports discuss campus and college security tips, a college rape report, safe dating, securing your dorm or apartment, information on roommates, and the way parents can prepare their kids for college.  They are a great resource for making my life at college a whole lot safer.

The passing of our school mate served as a wake up call for students, and their parents, to understand the worthiness of personal protection for women.  The Extreme College Survival Kit from SafeFamilyLife provides me with the non-lethal personal protection needed in these dangerous times.
