Personal Safety Should Be Your Number One Priority

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

Don’t let the bad guys win, don’t let them harm or kill you, don’t become a crime statistic.  Take charge of your own safety.  it is not just a good idea but every woman and man should know how to protect themselves and know how to use urban survival safety techniques.  The sad facts are in the US someone is sexually assaulted every two minutes, and a violent crime happens every twenty seconds.  Some things you can not stop, but you can respond the correct way to keep yourself safe and alive.  Every time you turn on the news you hear about someone getting raped or robbed or both and you wonder if something like that could even ever happen to you or someone you love.

When my daughter came to me one day and told me she was going to a self defense course and asked me if I wanted to join her.  Of course I did and I really felt the class was great.  It gave us great defense techniques and told us the basics on how to get away from someone who sneaks up on you.  We also learned that if at all possible don’t leave the location you are in and go somewhere else with the robber, because that is usually where they kill you and get rid of the body.  Try to draw attention to your self and many times he will get embarrassed and leave because he won’t  want anyone to see what he wants to do or get arrested.

The instructor also showed us some urban survival safety tips too.  But when I wanted to find some more great safety techniques I went online to do a little research on the internet and did a search for urban survival safety.  I was able to find some other great defense techniques for both myself and my daughter.  That I also told my sister and her girls about them too.  When I found your website, it had lots of great products and information about survival safety.  I bought two of the Extreme college survival Kit, for my two nieces that were going to be starting college in the fall.  This is such a great kit and has so many helpful things for everyone woman who walks alone form class to class at night or really anywhere she walks alone during the day or night.  One of the main things is to be prepared for the unexpected, and never take any unnecessary chances.  if you feel uncomfortable in any situation, they take your self out of it.  Even if you make a mistake and a good man will understand, because he has sisters or mothers in his life and he would want them to be safe too.

My Daughter Now Has Personal Protection On Urban Street

Friday, June 17th, 2011

Security is a very important thing for my family.  We just moved to a different town because the town in which we were living in was dangerous place.  My mom says that now that I am going to college I should get an urban street defense program to learn how to defend myself and to protect my family.  I think that the situation worldwide is getting worse every day and people are becoming more evil every day that goes by.  I think that we need to be prepared for any life threatening situation that may be present.

College and university campuses can be very dangerous especially for female students living in dorms and off campus apartments. My daughter has a friend who was surrounded by five men attempting to rob and sexually assault her. She had to run as fast as she could to escape being harmed by these urban thugs. She barely escaped that terrifying situation and now learns as much as she can about urban street defense.

My grandma used to say that people before were not as bad as people nowadays.  She says that in the early 1900s people respected each other and were not willing to do any harm to others.  Now just the act of going out of your house puts your life in danger.  That is extremely awful because you would like to be in a peaceful place but I think that that is impossible to find these days.  My mom really loves me and wants only the best for me and for my sister.  That is why she would like me to learn some self defense techniques to that I may know how to protect myself and to protect my family in these dangerous times we live in.

I think it is also important to have the right equipment to protect yourself.  One of the things I need is a non lethal self defense products kit.  Some of my friends told me that I should look on the Internet to find the defense products kit I need.  I did and I found this website.  This is exactly what I needed.  I am going to go to college very soon and I want to be prepared for any dangerous situation.  I want to know everything about urban street defense.  I am sure that my mom is going to be really happy to know that I am well equipped and trained to face any life-threatening situation in an urban college environment such as St. Louis, Mo.

Be Safe While at College with College Safety Kit

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Going to college is an exciting time for both the new college student, but also for the parents.  Many kids leave their homes to live on campus when they go to college, and the college may not be close enough to the parents home to where they can visit frequently.

Although going to college is a great opportunity, it is also filled with new experiences and dangers that may not seem readily apparent.  It is very common for the college freshman to be unsure of what to do once they get to the university, especially in terms of being safe and minimizing their risks of being assaulted or robbed. These possible attacks are usually on the mind of many parents however, and they might feel helpless since they can not be there to protect their child.  No one likes to think that an attack can happen to them, but unfortunately, this is the ugly truth.

There are people out there that may attack you, and it is always better to be prepared with the knowledge and equipment to fend them off and keep yourself safe.  Every minute, a robbery occurs.  there are more statistics that make it very evident that these types of crime, violent crimes, aggravated assaults, sexual assaults, and others, happen – and they happen often.  Rather than try to pretend as if it simply can not happen to you or someone you know, knowing this information can help you find out how you can prevent them from happening.

Although there are individual products out there that may help you protect yourself and prevent an attack, such as pepper spray, a safe, or an instructional video that teaches basic self-defense moves, often times these products are not easy to find, and one method is simply not enough.  Instead of settling for one way to protect yourself and your valuables, it is best to get all the resources in one place because your safety deserves your full attention and effort.

This is exactly what you get with the College Safety Kit.  With the College Safety Kit, you not only get the products to be able to defend yourself and your valuables, you also get an instructional DVD that demonstrates how to use each product.  After all, a product is not useful if you do not know how to use it and it is just lying there, you will have the information to be able to make the most of them.

The College Safety Kit is great because not only does it offer different products, it offers them in different ways so that you will be able to use them at different times and in different occasions.  For example, many people have heard of pepper spray, but have you ever heard of lipstick pepper spray?  Pepper spray on a visor clip?  You may only be aware of the pepper spray on your keychain, but what if it is inconvenient for you to carry it?  Rather than take it, you will most likely leave it at home, where it will not be of any use to you.  this is why rather than only offer one way of carrying your pepper spray, you will be able to use different ways, and this way you can surprise you attacker.

They may try to knock a visible pepper spray container out of your hand, but they will think little of a small tube of lipstick.  Along with various different ways of carrying your pepper spray, the kit also includes a book that is actually a safe.  As a college student, you will have a variety of books and it will be easy to hide your valuables in a book so that it can blend in easily.  Along with the safe, you will also get a nap alarm and a door stop alarm so that you are aware of anyone coming in to your house.  And if you ever found yourself walking alone at night, you will be happy to have the cell phone lite so that you can make your way to your destination safely and you will be able to see what is going on around you.

All the batteries for the products are included in the College Safety Kit, so you can start using them right away.  The world is a dangerous place, and while it is reasonable to be cautious and aware of your surroundings, you do not have to be fearful of them.  Instead, take control of your life and feel safe with the revolutionary College Safety Kit.

Safety Tips for College Students to Avoid Being Victimized

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

Students heading off to college are typically going to live in a dorm, apartment or off-campus university housing. Unfortunately, criminals are fully aware of the vulnerability of these young female students and target college campuses and nearby housing complexes.  There are many safety tips for college students and non-lethal self defense products available online that will protect you from being victimized by criminals.

Of course one of the most common safety tips for college students is to travel in groups or pairs when traveling across campus especially at night. These safety tips for college students are great advice but it is not always an option particularly when so many female college students are living in off-campus university housing.  That’s why it’s recommended that college students should always carry some form of  self defense to safeguard against being victimized by an attacker.

Defense Sprays or pepper sprays are a good choice for a college student because they are lightweight, easy to conceal and not lethal to an attacker.  pepper spray is a very effective means of non-lethal self defense and offers piece of mind to the students as well as the parents.  It is stressful enough for parents to know that their children are away from home and often in unpredictable situations, so if their child is armed with a canister of pepper spray, it will help knowing their college daughter is not defenseless against an attacker.

Safety tips for college students should include a personal alarm.  personal alarms are made in many different versions but most are compact and easy to carry.  Personal alarms are designed to emit ear piercing decibels of sound and give most assailants no desire to stick around.  Some alarms are also designed to be hung on a door knob so they can also serve as off-campus apartment or dorm room protection.

Self defense and personal protection products offer an inexpensive and effective means of safety when college students are subject to the cruelties of criminals.  Safety tips for college students and personal protection devices are usually the furthest thought from both young and older students but should never be overlooked. Non-lethal personal protection and safety devices should be added to every female college student’s “back to school” list of supplies.  It only takes one assailant and one defenseless college student to impact many lives, for many years.

Stun Guns For Your Personal Safety

Sunday, January 9th, 2011

There are many things to consider for personal safety and protection. One inexpensive option may be a stun gun. There are several reasons to consider them.

personal protection: An electroshock weapon can protect you. Electricity can stun someone and incapacitate them long enough for you to escape danger. You can buy a stun gun in many styles and sizes. When you touch someone with the weapon, it will administer a shock.

Overall safety: These guns are known as non-lethal self defense weapons. They are not designed to kill. Although they employ high voltage, it does no permanent damages. The electric current is distributed within the body. The current is also well below lethal levels.  Electricity will not transfer to you if you are touching the attacker while applying shock.

Convenience: You can get more than one use with a single charge. This could be very important in an emergency. With defensive sprays, you may have to target the face or eyes. You can use a stun gun most anywhere. They are easy to recharge. With some, you just plug them into an electrical outlet. Others may use easy to find batteries. There is not a great deal of training involved in handling these weapons. Firearms require significantly more training. You can easily carry a non-lethal weapon in your pocket or purse. You will not need a concealed weapon permit in many states.

Stopping power: You may bring an attacker down suddenly with a shock. This will depend on the length of the shock. It also depends on the amount of voltage applied. You may have as long as fifteen minutes to escape danger, in some cases. A short shock may cause someone to become disoriented. They may also become confused. This can give you time to get away.

Very high voltage: You can buy stun guns guns with up to 4.5 million volts. This will give you extra power. You may want to be sure that you can stop an attacker. This will work better if the attacker is wearing heavy clothes. You will stand a much better chance of penetrating that way.

cell phone stun gun: A stun gun can resemble a cell phone. They can be very powerful and easy to carry. It may be more effective than many weapons. If an attacker does not know someone is armed, they can be caught off guard easier. They would not try to duck or dodge a cell phone, until it is too late. Many of these guns also have a dual purpose. You may also use them as a flashlight.

flashlight stun gun: You can buy a stun gun that is also a flashlight. This gives you a multipurpose tool to carry with you. You can get flashlight guns that are small enough to conceal in your hand. Some are very big and cast a strong beam of light. You can also find flashlight guns that have a personal alarm which is an additional safety feature.

Stun guns offer a great variety in personal protection and personal safety. The are not expensive. You may be able to repel or disable an attacker. Some come with other features like flashlights and alarms. They are legal to carry in many states.

Apartment Safety Tips Single Women Should Know: Self Defense Product

Monday, December 27th, 2010

Apartment complexes have a few potentially hazardous areas that single women should be aware of in these dangerous times…

Mailbox Area

This area is one of the most dangerous and you should always keep your guard up! Criminals keep a close eye on mailbox sections of an apartment complex.  Why? Because people are pretty predictable as to when they check their mail.  Attackers like the fact that if they observe you for a few days, they can pretty much predict when you are going to check your mailbox.  Usually people go to this section when they drive home from work.  When you approach your mailbox, look around you.  If there are a few people present, it is safer, but if you are the only one there, please be very cautious, especially at night.  Always prepare your self defense product and have it in your hand and prepared to be used, prior to approaching the mailbox area.

Laundry Room Area

Here is another section of an apartment complex that is very dangerous.  For one, it is noisy because of the machines.  This noise can easily cover up someones scream or cry for help.  For some reason, people feel they need to chat with whomever else is doing laundry.  This can be a great tool for an assailant to get more information from you that you shouldn’t have given to him in the first place!  Be careful what you tell a complete stranger.  Even if he is the cutest guy, and my, so meticulous with his folded laundry!  Impressive right?  NO! Potential attackers play a caring role to make you feel comfortable and therefore letting your guard down.  Again in this situation make sure you have a self defense product readily available.

Trash Dumpster Area

This area is of much concern because most people dump their trash at night, after dinner.  If you don’t want to wait until morning, please be very careful about this.  If your trash dump area is dark, ask the apartment complex manager to install some kind of lighting around it.  This may prove to be difficult but it is worth a try.  You might want to consider asking a few female friends, that live there, to join in your request.  Always take your self defense product with you and prepare it to be used.  Always move cautiously toward the site and look around carefully as you approach.  If you see someone that you do not recognize near it, maybe leaning against their car or smoking…Just turn around and go back home.  You can always try later.  It is better to be cautious than hurt or killed.  If you trash is heavy, just set it down somewhere temporarily, where you can pick it up later.

Tips That’ll Keep You Safe at College

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

Following some very simple guidelines will keep you from being a crime victim while at college…

When you are on campus, always be aware of your surroundings and of the people around you. If you must listen to your iPod or MP3 player as you walk, have volume low enough that you can hear sound when snapping fingers. However, if walking alone at night or off-campus turn OFF and remove ear buds. Also, keep texting on phone to a minimum until you reach your destination. When your obviously distracted and oblivious to your surroundings, your an inviting target for rape or abduction.

Take advantage of programs that offer assistance in getting home after dark. Most of the campuses offer walk home assistance and shuttle service so you arrive at home safely.

If you are walking on campus, stay in well-lighted areas as much as possible…It’s dark so turn OFF electronic devices such as iPod and remove headphones.

If you see someone in your area or near you, make eye contact so he knows you see him and aware of their presence. Please carry Wildfire key chain pepper spray and be prepared to use it if attacked.

Stay away from traditional trouble spots on campus. Most college juniors and seniors can tell you where they are so please ask. Locations like alleys and dark parking spots make it easier to be targeted and vulnerable to be a victim of crime.

Finally, this should be common sense. But never leave laptops, backpacks and other personal belongings unattended…even if stepping away for just a minute. Someone could be watching and just waiting for an opportunity to steal your belongings.
