Parents must be vigilant in making sure the loved one your sending off to college won’t be victimized by a street thug. For most college students, it’ll be the first time out on their own far away from the comfort and protection of nurturing parents. Emphasize the importance of always being aware of surroundings and not making themselves and easy target for sexual predators. College and University students must take responsibility for their own personal safety because a violent brutal surprise attack will overwhelm you in merely seconds but destroy your quality of life forever, if you survive the attack. No, it’s not a pleasant conversation to have with your child…but you better! Young people today with iPods blasting in earbuds, texting as they stroll around campus and surrounding off-campus neighborhoods are inviting targets to be mugged or raped and they’ll never see it coming. Reality check…we live in a violent world during tough economic times. Criminals aren’t always stupid and know where to find the easiest prey to stalk.
There are many inexpensive but effective non-lethal personal protection products available online. Wildfire pepper spray, Telescopic steel baton, Runt 4.5M Volt stun gun, Stun Master Pen 1.2M Volt stun gun, Lipstick 950,000 Volt stun gun and much, much more. It’s amazing, parents spend tens of thousands of dollars educating their child but won’t invest $100 or less to safeguard her life.

At the time of this writing there has been another attack on a wustl student in our urban community. She was sexually assaulted and robbed after being grabbed from behind around 1:00AM on Monday while walking in her neighborhood near the Washington University campus in St. Louis, Mo. The attacker used a knife as his weapon to control the victim , as he raped her between two buildings. From what’s been reported, the student survived the attack and was treated at a nearby hospital. But I can’t stop wondering if non-lethal personal protection products such as: Wildfire pepper spray, Pretender cell phone stun gun or Taser would have prevented this attack resulting in a totally different outcome. Allowing the victim time to escape and report the crime to law enforcement.

Our urban community is a dangerous treacherous place today. I find it distressing that with all the robberies, assaults, home intrusions, rapes, etc. Most people don’t think about personal protection until after they or someone they know is victimized by a desperate street thug. During an assault or rape it is very unlikely that anyone, even the police, can come to your rescue fast enough. That is why it is so important to carry at least a non-lethal self defense weapon to protect yourself an assist in your escape. There are many inexpensive non-lethal personal protection products available, that will save your life if ever needed. Wildfire pepper spray, Retractable steel baton and the Pretender 4.5 Million Volt cell phone stun gun are very effective at stopping an attacker in his tracks.

The only one you can rely on in an attack is YOU! So you’re taking Krav Maga self defense classes so you can effectively defend yourself if attacked. After class one night you decide to pick up a few groceries. As you close your trunk in the parking lot of the store, a man grabs you from behind. Your self defense training instinctively kick-in and your fighting for your life and doing damage to this thug. But his size and brute strength are too much. No worries thou, the non-lethal Pretender 4.5 Million Volt cell phone stun gun you’re carrying is the equalizer needed to put down this thug and escape. When law enforcement arrive, this scum is still on the ground slobbering and laying in his own urine. Because he thought it was just a cell phone, you gave this attacker the surprise of his life!

The college experience can be a great adventure or terrible nightmare when things go bad and you’ve become a victim and an entry in the FBI crime statistics. We follow media reports about young women being attacked and sexually assaulted on college campuses. But how many sexual assaults go unreported that are considered date rape? Only because the victim feels a sense of shame or embarrassment when she in fact did nothing wrong…trusted the wrong person is all! I recommend every female student protect themselves and carry a key chain non-lethal Wildfire pepper spray for when he won’t accept “NO” for an answer!

Students living in an urban community especially women that commute and take classes at night. Should take precautions to reduce their chances of being victimized by sexual predators looking for an easy target. If possible, walk in a group as you go across campus or leaving the building after class walking to your vehicle in the parking lot. Trust your instincts, if you don’t feel safe request campus security to escort you to your car. Always make sure you have a charged cell phone and carry non-lethal self protection like Wildfire pepper spray and a telescopic steel baton.

Parents, seemingly not a day goes by that we don’t hear about a brutal rape or sexual assault of women. Many are young college students experiencing the first time living away from home and now living on their own on or off-campus. The Extreme college survival Kit provides useful information and self defense tools to keep your child safe. Criminals are street smart and it’s their turf. They’ve already surveyed the best places to attack their intended victims. Criminals are looking for an easy prey to target… like a clueless and naive college student. You’ve seen today’s young college students: Ipod, ear-buds, and totally self absorbed. Clueless of their surroundings and what possible danger await them along their predictable path. FBI statistics indicate a person has 10-15 seconds to respond to an attack. Being prepared is the best way for your child to protect herself and be safe from possible attack or abduction. College students must identify areas of possible attack during their daily travels, especially at night. Develop a plan of action Now! If students wait until their attacked it’s too late and risk becoming another crime statistic. The Ultimate Personal safety kit for women is another self defense resource to help give parents peace of mind while their daughter is away at college.
